Good luck to you too." > The Ohio Federal Census Index for Heads of Families for the year 1870 (3 years before the birth of Frederick Woods, above) shows only four Woods indexed in Knox County (M593-Roll 1229): Edward Woods, 42, M, W, b. in OH, in Jackson Twp, p. 296; Frederick Woods, 35, M, W, b. in OH, in Jackson Twp., p. 296; John Woods, 33, M, W, b. in OH, in Jackson Twp., p. 297; Timothy Woods, 47, M, W, b. in OH, in Clay Twp., p. 227 What do you bet that the first three are brothers, living in or near Bladensburg, and one of them is Frederick's father, probably the Frederick Woods, age 42! The 1880 Federal Census would confirm which one was the father of Joan's Frederick Woods! It would also give the state of birth of young Frederick's grandfathers and grandmothers, which would help a lot to taking her Woods genealogy back even further. George W. Page
