Ok, I'm ready for pure speculation and theory at this point because I'm not getting anywhere on logic. Berbie B. Woods was born to Jesse Harrison WOODS and Elizabeth HORNER in March, 1898 in Durham/Orange NC. He supposedly married an Annie Taylor and had four children: two boys (born no more than two years apart before 1935) and two girls. The two boys spent some time at Caswell Training School. They ran away when in their teens. No one seems to know what became of them. I am told their names where Robert and John. They both had albinism and mild hearing loss. The two girls, I was told, were placed in Oxford Orphanage after Berbie's death (before 1942). Oxford has searched their files and find no records of children of a Berbie Woods and Annie Taylor Woods. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? I know Berbie showed up in the 1900 Durham Co Census. I know that he had these children (my sister met the two boys about 1950 when they were still at Caswell.) I have no idea where the parents died, what happened to the sisters or what their names were.
