Alice Virginia WOOD A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, in Crescent Grove Cememtery in Tigard for for Alice Virginia Wood, who died April 16 at age 90. Mrs. Wood was born Aug. 17, 1908, in Malvern, Iowa, where she was raised and educated. Her maiden name was McNulty. She taught in a country schoolhouse in Iowa as a young woman. She moved to Beaverton in 1947. She was a sales clerk for Meier and Frank Co. for 25 years and a member of Bethel Congregational Church. She married Russell A. in 1940; he died in 1994. Survivors include her niece, Mary Gundlach of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nephew, Lynn Schade of Lake Forest, IL; and longtime friend, Maxine Barnes of Beaverton. The family suggests remembrances to the church. Arrangements are by Pegg, Paxson & Springer Chapel in Beaverton.
