Does anyone have CD # 354, Passenger and Immigration Index, 1538-1940 FTW lists an Alexander WOODS as being on this CD. I have a cousin with an old pedigree stating that Alexander died aboard ship during the crossing. Need to know if this could be him. Don't know his age, but he could have come from Scotland through England to end up in Connecticut, around 1728. His wife's name was Margaret (MORE) WOOD, b. Scotland, and his record shows that John WOODS may have been born about 6 Wks before sailing. The IGI has a (b.) record for John WOODS, s. of Elexander dated 15 Oct 1728, in Hartford Co. Farmington Twp. CT. This could be a baptimal record after they arrived, but don't I understand why Margaret isn't listed and Elexander is, IF THIS IS HIM. I just haven't made it to the Family History Center here to send for the film. With a Scottish brogue, Alexander would be pronounced Elexander. We've been looking for this guy for a long time. Hope someone can help. Kenneth, ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
