Dear Carla, Thank you so much and may God bless you for sharing the information on the WOOD/WOODS Bibliography and Addendum. I'm sure it will help many and I hope it will help me in finding a clue to the parents and/or siblings of my g-grandfather, Rev./Dr. Jesse Lee(Leonidas?) WOOD. I am running out of time due to chronic health problems in trying to reach my goal of being able to leave a family history as a legacy to my Family. Jesse was reportedly b. 1839 in MS and I believe his family may have been farming there at the time. However, Jesse doesn't show up until age 21 years on the 1860 Census in rural Dyer Co., TN and he lived much of his adult life in TN. The only thing I know about his family is that although Jesse enlisted in the 7th Tennessee Cavalry Reg., U.S. Army, he had three brothers (names unknown) that fought for the CSA in the War. His parents were reportedly also born in MS and his father's name may possibly have been Jesse. The Surnames AYLMORE/ELMORE(sp?), BRAZEAL/ BREAZEALE(sp?) and/or ESSARY may possibly be in our ancestry and Jesse may also have been part Indian. If you happen to run across any info. that you think might provide a lead, I would very much appreciate hearing from you and thanks again for all your help. Sincerely, Jesse Lee "Jack" WOOD, III Powell, OH (Formerly from TX) jwood1@mindspring.com
