    1. [WOODS-L] Alexander Woods and Jane Wilson (Ireland/PA/VA) c1777
    2. Brett Woods
    3. Looking for information on the family of. Alexander Woods, born about 1743 in Ireland. He was living before 1776 in Albemarle, VA, and served in the military between 1776 and 1781 in VA. He married Jane Wilson in about 1760. Jane was born about 1745 in Ireland. Alexander Woods and Jane Wilson had the following children: Alexander WOODS II. Isabella WOODS. Rebecca WOODS. John WOODS was born after 1760. He resided in ,, PA. William WOODS was born after 1760. Thomas WOODS was born after 1760. Robert WOODS was born after 1760. Please note that I am aware of Alexander II's son, John, marrying a Sarah Ann Lynch of Newberry SC. I am trying to identify other Woods-Lynch marriages that produced a Henry J. Woods (b. 1826). In the 1860 Spartanburg County SC Census, Henry indicated his family to be the following: Father: Henry J. Woods (b. NC 1826) (a later census indicates a SC birth) Wife: M. H. Woods (b SC 1822) This may be a Mary H. (later indicated as Polly) Children: Nathan J Woods (b SC 1851) Lynch E. Woods (b SC 1846) NOTE: Since this is a female, I would assume this comes from a prior Woods-Lynch family inter-marriage somewhere. James H. Woods (b SC 1848) (my great-grandfather) John B. Woods (b SC 1849) William B. Woods (b SC 1850) Thomas J. Woods (b SC 1854) Harvey S(?) Woods (b SC 1856) Muryl C. Woods (b SC 1858) pretty illegible Robert H(?) Woods (b SC 1858) Accordingly, I am particularly interested in any of Andrew and Jane's sons that may have moved to the Carolinas (Robert, Thomas and Robert) and married into a Lynch Family. Thanks for any help. Brett F. Woods Santa Fe, New Mexico
