Came across an old family bible belonging to the WOODS-ELLESTON-WORTMAN family being auctioned on Ebay. It is an 1876 bible with the family record beginning with the June 6, 1896 marriage of Lewis Ross WOODS and Mamie ELLESTON both of Estherville, Iowa. It also refers to their son Robert Elliston WOODS b. 22 Jan 1902 who married Lola Belle WORTMAN on 28 Dec 1922 in Pasadena, California. Robert & Lola had a daughter Marjorie Jean WOODS b. 21 July 1925 and a son Robert Lewis WOODS b. 16 June 1934 both in Pasadena, California. I thought I'd pass this information along in hopes that someone might get the opportunity to recover a family heirloom. The auction ends December 5, 2000.
