Hi, My recent problems with email have pointed out a problem that I would like to solve. During the last week my email to email.com was bouncing. During that time one of my lists was put up for adoption by the rootsweb staff to anyone who thought they wanted it. This would not be a good thing to happen to the list members. Two of my lists already have a process in place to handle such a problem; I'd like to apply that process to the rest of my lists. I would like to create a team to administer for each list. The team of administrators could handle problems when they arise. This is a request for volunteers (NOTE: for those lists that already have the process, this is just a request for other list members to participate). The administration tasks are generally not difficult, but you must be able to tolerate getting more email messages, be dedicated to the task of administering the list and get your mail regularly. Generally for each message that goes through the list you will receive 3 additional messages caused by folks who have full mailboxes, or have changed their email address and not removed their old address from the list, or in the case of my email last week, I was just having email problems. Most of the time you don't have to do anything except read the error messages or help someone who is having problems, or add someone to the listÂ… If you are interested in helping, send a message with a specific subject form. The subject must be in this form or I will not recognize it as a volunteer message. The subject form is: LISTNAME, "Administrator team volunteer" <followed by your email address> Of course replace "LISTNAME" with the list you are interested in helping with, and <followed by your email address> with your email address. In the body let me know why you want to help or what you can do to help. NOTE: in an emergency and you get no reply from me at cjl@tir.com please send a message to my wife at sharonjol@tir.com and she will either tell you what my problem is or forward your message to me.. Thanx, Chris
