I think I may have found my orphaned Wood/Woods child, Herbert Woods in Minnesota in 1880 census living with a Fred Leathers family in Oak Grove, Anoka County Minnesota. If anyone has Wood/Woods in Minnesota in 1880's I'd like to hear from you to look for possible connections. I'll have to go back to the 1870 census in Minnesota to find Herbert/Bert with his parents. I am excited that it looks like I have found him. Hooray! I'll keep you all posted. Everyone has been very helpful.
