Good Morning! I'm sorry Judy, I do not have an Elijah Woods born abt 1778. I am still in the early research stages on my William Woods. However, William and Elizabeth (Estep) Woods did have a son named Eli C born 1858. Russell, I need to do some more research and see if I can find this particular family in the 1840 Census with their mother Jane Woods. I have not substanciated that my William Woods belonged to this family - it has been assumed that he did. So, I certainly need to do more work. In the Holographic Will (which I do not personally have copy of) given October 24, 1834 and probated in February of 1836 the following children are listed: John Wood, James F. Wood, Charles Wood, Robert Wood, Sarah Wood, and William Wood. My William is the youngest of these children. I will throw out the names of the two witnesses to the will, as you never know when a clue will surface. The two witnesses were John Lauderdale and John Booker. I will let you know what I find out.
