Known children of John and Mary Johnson are: Mary Ann Johnson who m. John D. Crain; Atlas James Johnson and Lavina Johnson. James Atlas Johnson married Mariah Louisa WOODS, daughter of Andrew WOODS and Hulda Caperton on 13 April 1852 in Carroll Co., MS. I have quite a bit of information on the WOODS family starting with Michael WOODS who came down from PA to VA. with his family, thru a gap in the Blue Ridge Mtns. (later called WOODS Gap). He settled in an area now called Ivy, VA., near Charlottesville, VA. This family is also connected to the Caperton family. Issue: Wm.
