Hi Joy and all, This blows me away. My husbands G'father was John Roper , born Sept.10, 1872 in Yellville,Ark. My G'father was Owen Woods, born Oct. 8, 1873 in Bladensburg,Ohio. John Roper had twenty two children by three wives. Owen's father was Frederick Woods,born Aug.7,1834 in Ohio. Thats all I know about that line. I would like to get farther back, maybe to N.C. The Roper family is more interested in finding descendants than ancestors and has a big reunion in Mtn.View,Ark. every year.
