While I was at the library on Friday I overheard this interesting tidbit from the genealogy librarian. (It's really fun at our genealogy section, everyone talks out loud and the librarian especially for those people who are too shy to ask!) She said the entire 1870 census for the state of Michigan is now on-line, free, at the Library of Michigan. I sent this informiiton to another researcher and sure 'nuff, it's there and she found her people. These are images, not transcriptions.
