    3. I am still looking for Amanda Charlotte Wood(s) and her brother, Thomas. Amanda gave birth to my grandfather, Robert Walter Wardman Rivers, in Calico Rock in 1882 and to his brother, Alfred Shelby Harwell in 1884 (Calico Rock). I have found information on Amanda and Alfred Harwell's father (owned property in Izard) but will post that later. Below are some census, Staggs and Wood(s). Does anybody recognize any of these people? I am trying to establish some connection between the Wood(s) and the Staggs. Thanks. Charlotte PS Am thinking the Amanda and Thomas Staggs listed in 18670 COULD BE my Amanda and Thomas Wood(s) since an Amanda and Thomas Wood(s) are living with Green Staggs in 1880, and they are the same ages. Family History has Amanda and Thomas living with relatives in Izard County at least by 1881 when she became pg with my grandfather. > > Union Township, Izard County, Post Office of Pineville, in 1870, House 110 > Staggs, Thomas, 52, m, w, farmer, TN > Staggs, Mary S., 52, f, w, keeping house, TN > Staggs, William, 21, m, w, farm laborer, TN > Staggs, Mary W., 16, f, w, AR > Staggs, Martha, 14, f, w, in school, AR > Staggs, THOMAS, 11, m, w, in school, AR > Staggs, AMANDA, 8, f, w, in school, AR > Staggs, Leuvenia (sp?), 9, f, w, in school, MO > > House 111 > Green Staggs 22 Farmer Tn > Milly 20 Ar (nee Benbrook) (and didn't some Benbrook sister marry a Wood?) > Parthene 7/12 Ar > > 1880 Census, Fulton Township, County of Fulton, Arkansas > Staggs, Green, w, m, 32, married, farmer, TN, TN, TN > Staggs, Angeline, w, f, 31, housekeeper, AR, AR, AR > Staggs, Sarah, w, f, 7, daughter, at home, AR, AR, AR > Staggs, Mlinn (?), w, f, 3, daughter, at home, AR, AR, AR > Woods, Thomas, w, m, 22, border, single, farm hand, TN, TN, TN > Woods, Amanda, w, m (error!), 19, boarder, house servant, TN, TN, TN > > This the first time I have seen that mark for "single" in Thomas Woods' record (on the actual census)! I had been wondering if this could be a married couple rather than brother and sisterAccording to "family history," Amanda was 15 (or 16) when my grandfather was born in 1882. However, on later census and her death record two dates are given, 1864 and 1867. If the 1864 is correct, then this could be the correct age for my Amanda! Thanks for any information anybody might have!
