    3. I think I may have managed to mess up my previous message. Looking back through my notes, I am not sure whether this is Michael Marion Woods or not. The information that has been suggested to me is that Green Woods was b. in Washington Co., TN on 13 August 1783, d. in Harrison Co., TX in 1842, m. 28 Dec. 1802 to a Mary Clarke, and that he was the eleventh child of a Michael Woods (b. November 10, 1735, prob. in Albemarle Co., Va.; d. 1808, presumably in TN), by his second wife Margaret Trimble (b. 27 Aug 1740; m. 24 Dec 1767; d. 13 Sep 1801). This Michael is stated to be the son of Archibald Woods (1706 - 1768) and Isabella Goss (1716/17 - 1766). Archibald being the son of another Michael Woods (b. c. 1684; d. 1762) and Mary Campbell. My real question though goes to the identification of the Green Woods b. in Washington Co., TN of Michael and Margaret with the Green Woods who died in Harrison Co., TX in 1842. Can anyone shed any light on the appropriateness of this identification? Jim Robinson P.S.--Any information on other parts of this family is, of course, very welcome.
