One of Archibald and Isabella Goss Woods's son was William Woods.William was born abt 1744-1752 in Virginia and married according to the LDS page in Amelia Viirginia on 25 January 1787 to Sussanah Catherine McKinley.She was born abt 1756.Their children; James Woods b 1778 Michael Woods 1780 Andrew C Woods 1782 Robert W Woods b abt 1784 John Woods b abt 1786 Isabella G Woods abt 1788 Martha Bell Woods abt 1790-married to Samuel Drinkwater. Esther-? Sussanah -? William Died in 1804 in Abbeville and left his will.His Wife Sussanah C Woods died in 1829 and probated her will at that time. Most of the children were living out of state at that time.Has anyone researched this family and their children.I know that John Woods has been researched but what Robert W Woods? Has anyone any theories on his whereabouts? Is he the same Robert Woods who turned up in Troup County Georgia during the 1830's and 40's and then settled in Coosa County Alabama during the 50;s and 60's. Accoring to the 1850 and 1860 Alabama Censuses Robert's wife's name was "Elizabeth" All of their children were born in Georgia which means they were in Georgia as early as 1810.If anyone has researched the other siblings I would love to hear from you. William's father Archibald and indeed his father Michael Woods have been researched but nothing on William's family.Ancestry has nothing on William either.Please take a few minutes look through your files and see if you have anything at all on this line!
