    1. [WOODS-L] John Woods Wood
    2. Happy New Year Everyone! Another year and we are all still looking for our Woods/Wood ancestors. With some luck perhaps this will be the year that will open new avenues. I am interested in contacting anyone researching a John WOODS - WOOD. John it seems did not want to be found and has give a 10 span on his birth but we know that he was born in 1882, other records show him 10 years younger. He was married once in Chicago in the early 1900's but left and started a new life elsewhere. It is possible that John remarried, last information we have is in 1917 and his address he gave was Green Cove Springs Florida. John was one of 11 children born to John Woods, Sr. and Mary Ann Mathews. After years of tracing all these children and their families it is apparent that John lost all contact with them also. What ever happened to John is still a mystery and would like to speak with others researching this name. Perhaps we could be of some help to each other. Best of Luck with your research. Sincerely, Patti Woods Crick Illinois gabbycrick@aol.com

    3. Just a thought. Wasn't 1917 the beginning of that terrible flu epidemic which killed so many? Aren't these "modern" mysteries even more frustrating than the "ancient ones"? My father had eight aunts and uncles, but we can only trace three of them! The rest dropped of the face of the earth between 1910-1940. -----Original Message----- From: GabbyCrick@aol.com [mailto:GabbyCrick@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, January 07, 2001 7:59 AM To: WOODS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [WOODS-L] John Woods Wood Happy New Year Everyone!
