    1. [WOODS-L] Leslie and Adda Woods
    2. Colly Bittner
    3. I am searching for information on Leslie and Adda (Ada?) Woods. They died in or near Ventura, California, and I believe they were also buried in that area. Though they were my great-grandparents, I know almost nothing of the couple. I have only a small sheet of paper containing the information that I am sharing with you. The paper states the wife's name as "Adda" with an unknown maiden name. My mother (My Woods ancestry is on my father's side of the family.) pronounces the name as "Ada," which I believe is a much more common name than "Adda". Leslie and Adda had a daughter, Joy Ellen Woods, who was born in Philadelphia, Jefferson County, New York on October 05, 1920. Joy married Darwin William Bittner (b. June 28, 1918 d. February 21, 1992) and had nine children (mostly, if not completely in southern Indiana). Though Darwin was Baptist in faith, I have reason to believe that Joy (and probably her parents) was Catholic. Joy died in Tell City, Perry County, Indiana on October 08, 1969. Also, I am under the impression that Adda Woods died in the late 1970s or early to mid 80s. If anyone has found even a hint of a connection, please let me know! Thanks, Colly

    3. It seems that many people are interested in the estate record mentioning Melissa/Margaret, Ava/Eva V., and Mary Wood from Iron county Missouri. So, I'm going to post it directly to the list. I have a couple of different pages. The one lists Mary A., Eva V. and > Margaret M. Wood. Then I have seprate listings for Melissa, Mary, and Ava > V.
