First, you have an already established lineage, and a near Cousin who has worked years on it. You go back in Clinton and Highland Counties OH to the 1810's, and ultimately to Gabriel Woodmansee in the 1600's. I will attach a copy of the flyer that is just out on the book that has been in progress since the mid 1980's. Please, if you can, I would like to suggest you order a copy of this book!! Your Woodmansee grandmother is the last generation in the book and has the descent number 127441611---each digit represents a child in a descent. Jennie Mae was the daughter of Fred Woodmansee & Jennie Clark/Lee (12744161). You tie to many other lines that are fairly well known, too. By the way, we do not have a record of any siblings for Jennie Mae, so you can contribute there (please). The cousin who has a similar descent is JoAnn Fox of Bristol Village in Waverly, OH. I have copied her on this e-mail, but am not sure she can respond (health reasons). I am sure she will, if she can, as those from the Francis Woodmansee line (like you and her) are rare. If you want to send me your US mail address, I'll drop you some Family Group Sheets back to Samuel Woodmansee Sr, the progenitor of most of the Highland and Clinton County, OH Woodmansees. He and his wife Aulice Jeffery are buried at Highland, with a Revolutionary War marker (from Monmouth Co NJ). I will also copy the List, but am not sure the attachment will go through (for the book). Please List, if you want to order a copy of "the definitive Woodmansee Genealogy", contact me or Janet Parker ASAP. The book is scheduled for Feb 2003 release, in a very limited 2 volume edition. Bob Fetters, compiler of the Woodmansee branch from Samuel Woodmansee Sr of Highland Co, OH. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 11, 2002 12:00 AM Subject: [Woodmansee] woodmansee of New Vienna, Ohio > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Woodmansee > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GQXBAIB/115 > > Message Board Post: > > I would love any info anyone has on woodmansee's of New Vienna, Ohio. My Grandmother Jennie Mae Woodmansee was born April 28 1900 in New Vienna, ohio. I don't know what her parents first names were or the names of her brother or sisters, but I know her mother was born in 1860. Her father was born even earlier than that, and her siblings were teenagers when Jennie Mae was born. Jennie Mae married Samuel G. Johnson also of New Vienna, Ohio. I would love any info I can get.
