She was born August 9, 1917, in Highland, Ohio, the daughter of Robert Roy and Stella Clara Woodmansee Powell. On September 11, 1934, in Flemingsburg, KY, she married Truman Merl Fetters, who preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Roger Albert Fetters; and her brothers, Gerald E. and Cecil A. Powell. Surviving are a son, Robert A. Fetters, a son and daughter-in-law, William A. and Becky Fetters; daughter and son-in-law, Bonita "Bunny" and Keith Rittinger, daughter, Belinda Stotridge, all of the Chillicothe, Ohio area, daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Charlie Denver Nichols, of Kingston, Ohio and daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and David Johnson, of Chattanooga, TN. She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren; and numerous great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews (of the Powell family). "Polly" was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, in Chillicothe, Ohio where she was a member of the Susan Henry Circle. She participated in the Scioto Valley Emmaus Walk and an Emmaus Sharegroup, and had participated in two "Widows and Widowers" groups at Trinity and Walnut Street United Methodist Churches. "Polly" also participated in Senior Citizen's Bowling and in a Canasta Club. She retired from J.C. Penney's in 1980, after 15 years of service. "Polly" was a poll worker at Springfield South Township for over 45 years. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Kurt King officiating. Viewing will be in the WARE FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 form 6 to 8 p.m. Her body will be interred with seven generations of her family, in Highland Cemetery, Highland, Ohio, following the funeral services.
