>From the Binghamton Press: Madeline M. (Thorne) Woodmansee of Concord, N.C. Formerly of Candor, N.Y. Madeline Marcella Thorne Woodmansee, 98, of Concord, N.C., and formerly of Candor, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at Northeast Medical Center, Concord, after a period of declining health. She was born in Endicott, N.Y. on June 14, 1904, the daughter of the late Ralph Wesley and Halla Orpha (Barton) Thorne. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Harold D. Woodmansee Sr.; her son, Harold D. Woodmansee Jr.; and her three brothers, Melvin, Roselle, and Robert Thorne. Madeline is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Beverly Woodmansee, Concord, N.C.; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Woodmansee, Greensboro, N.C.; her nine grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 17c West, Owego, N.Y., on Monday, February 10, 2003, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Loretta Perry, of Gospel Chapel, Owego, officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, N.Y.
