Woodmansee was the son of Eleazer Woodmansee (ship builder) who was the son of Gabriel Woodmansee, Jr. In a biographical sketch of Luther and Henrietta Evalyn Woodmansee Nichols, Evalyn's father is shown as Daniel M. It appears you descend thru possibly my Joseph Woodmansee 1676 brotehr, Thomas Woodmansee 1670 & his wife Mary. His son David Woodmansee born14 Nov 1719 moved into butler Creek, NY, and a son Samuel moved to Ohio. The 1910 census indicates that her parents were born in Kentucky. A death record indicates that Cynthia was born in Garrard Co., KY on 24 Mar 1872 and died in Perryville, Boyle Co., KY 28 Feb 1949. This same death record shows her father as William Woodmanse. I found a William Woodmanse and family on the 1900 Mason Co., KY census? Is this Cynthia's father? In the 1870 Garrard Co., KY census I found a Velma Woodnancy age 22 with a Cynthia Woodnancy age 4 living with a Martha A Naylor family which indicates that Cynthia was born about 1866. I found no additional records on Velma and Cynthia. Cynthia married D James Middleton and lived in Garrard and Boyle Counties. Is this James the son of Yantis and Elizabeth Middleton? Information I have, is David Woodmansee born 16 June 1759 of Richmond, RI ( Joseph, Joseph, Joseph, Gabriel) married Amy Warden abt 1780, d/o Benjamin Warden , Children were Joseph Woodmansee 1791, Varnum Woodmansee 24 Dec 1797, not sure of other children.
