My husband's 97 year old half sister Eura Searcy Simmons, born in 1902 says that she knew 2 different Woodham families who lived around the Jelleco Community off Hwy 84 west near Wicksburg, Alabama. She said that a Exie Jones (sister to Bob Jones, founder of Bob Jones University) married a Jesse Woodham. They had about 6 childern who were: Foster Woodham (who died at about age 14 or 15 when he went into a hole in a bank and it caved in) Bessie Woodham (born in about 1902 and was Eura's friend) Gertrude Woodham (born about 1908) Claudie Lee Woodham Robert Woodham Jesse Woodham (who was born after his father died) She didn't know the parents of the other family but she had a friend Flossie Woodham who was born about 1902. Flossie had a brother J. D. and sisters Agnes and Blondell. I would be interested to know how they fit in to the family. I am quite sure that my father Jesse Burl Woodham, born in 1906 (son of Edward Harley (Hoke), grandson of Jonathan Robert, great grandson of Edward Harley Sr.) was named for the senior Jesse. Perhaps I need to purchase one of Robert Earl's books to find this relationship, but don't know which one or ones I need. Thanks, Betty Woodham Searcy
