    3. Robert Earl Woodham is the commonly accepted Woodham Family Historian in this country. He has spent many years gathering family data and can pretty much tie all the Woodhams in this country together as one extended family. I don't know the name of our common ancestor, but Robert Earl says that we are all descended from one individual who came from England, I don't know when or from which part of England. My daughter has also spent considerable time and effort working on the Woodham history, I'll send your letter on to her and see if she can shed light on your question. I do know that the Woodham name is basically a southern name and that most of the Woodhams in the USA live in the south. South Alabama and north Florida are overrun with Woodhams. And by the way, my branch of the Woodham family came from South Carolina many generations ago and some moved to south Alabama. My father was born and grew up south of Birmingham around Bessemer. Thanks for writing, please inform me if you make any breakthroughs. Milton E. 3. To all the Woodham's, I have only just found the family association on the net, after my grand-daughter started doing a family tree. I never expected to find so many people with the same surname as me. I wonder if anyone can trace a connection to my family here in England. My great-great grandfather was a William Woodham b 1805 in Aldern in the county of Essex, he had six children, have yet to find out if he had any brothers or sisters. I would love to hear from anyone, just in case there's a connection with back here. Regards to all Chris Flynn (nee Woodham)

    1. [WOODHAM] Woodham photos
    2. Robert Woodham
    3. For all you Woodham kinfolk... The Woodham Family Association would certainly appreciate it if you would take some time and scan photos of Woodham kin -- including descendants. That means both very old and recent photos. If you have a scanner or can get use of one, scan your photos (and format them into the JPEG format--it's easier to copy and attach to an email) and send them to me as an attachment. PLEASE make sure you put "WOODHAM PHOTO" in the "subject" box of your email or I might delete it (junk mail). Be sure and tell something about the folk in the photos and try to date it (when it was taken). All these photos will be preserved in our Woodham Family National Library. I will put them onto CDs so they will not deteriorate any further. I would like to add some very old family photos to the family club's website...with your help. Thanks a lot, Your cuz, Robert Earl Woodham Woodham Family Association 3120 6th Avenue Columbus, Georgia 31904

The villages I have found my lot moving between are Gt Abington, Thriplow, Granchester, Caxton, Arrington, Keysoe, Southill, and Gamlingay. Principle names are Thomas, William, John, Benning and Mary. Other relationships with Cooper, Binning, Arnold, and probably at some stage in the generations, they are nonconformists. This books states that Edward Woodham of Darlington District, SC married Prudence Richardson, daughter of Joseph Richardson of Cheraws District, Darlington, SC. According to the information that I have, it was Rachel Richardson, sister to Prudence, who married Ariss Woodham of Darlington. I know that some of us have been looking for years to find out when, if or whom Prudence married but I do not know if someone has found new information on Prudence or if, perhaps, this could be a misprint or an error.
