Surnames: Woodall, Moore, Dumas Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YFXBAEB/716 Message Board Post: I'm not sure where the info first came from, but my Mariah is supposed to have been a WOODALL before her marriage in 1837 to Archibald MOORE. The information I have indicates they married in St. Clair County, Alabama. I find them on the 1850 St. Clair census living next door to a Ruben WOODALL. Mariah's place of birth is listed as Georgia, and her age indicates she was born about 1822. Ruben was born about 1825 in Tennessee. Living on the other side of Archibald & Mariah is Henry MOORE and wife, with their son William MOORE. This William grew up and married Archibald and Mariah's daughter, Eleanor MOORE. I'm supposing they were cousins. Another "related" family is listed on the same census page, Zachariah DUMAS. Zachariah's sister was the wife of Henry's MOORE's wife, Eleanor. Zachariah's & Eleanor's parents are on the next census page, so lived fairly close. I find all sorts of info on WOODALLs from Georgia & Tennessee, but can't seem to fit my Mariah in. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks!!
