She said the Woodall's came from the mountain range along the TN/NC border. She said they took a route south into the northern part of GA (she didn't know a town name or county) and stayed a while. Then moved west into AL, again she didn't give me any town or county names but they stayed in AL (somewhere around Ft. Payne) for a while. Acenath was from AL so I'm thinking this is where they were married. They then moved on westward to MS where they (Abram and Acenath) lived in Yalobusha County for several years, long enough to have all 6 of their children. They left MS crossing the Mississippi river and lived in Grant/Saline counties for the rest of their lives. Of course the younger ones went their seperate ways but that was where they lived when my grandmother Laura Bell Woodall married my grandfather, James Monroe "Jim" Lemons. Laura died when my mother was 16 and grandpa never remarried. Laura wa! s they daughter of James and Amanda (Speer) Woodall. James was one of Abram and Acenath's son. I checked my list and I don't seem to have a Nesmith or Wilson in that line. If I knew more about my Abram's parents it would help a lot. It could be that the mother-in-law was related to Abram in some way and they all traveled together. Sounds like they may have taken the same route. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe one day we'll find the answers we seek.
