Anyone familiar with this line? I tried to write to Susan & Chuck Young who posted this line but unable to establish contact. Write to me if this is your line or you are familiar. Thanks, Jeff Woodall Woodall Family from Prince Edward County, Virginia to The Kanawha Valley of West Virginia Samual Woodall was born about 1801 in Charlotte County, VA. As of yet, we have not positively identified who Samual's father was. On November 17, 1823, Samual married Frances Trent in Prince Edward Co., VA. Samual Woodall died only about 13 years after his marriage to Frances. We know of two children of this marriage: William Alexander Woodall and Robert Woodall. On October 23, 1848, William A. Woodall married Delilah Carter, daughter of Wilson Carter of Prince Edward Co., VA. Shortly after their marriage William A. Woodall brought his family to include his new wife Delilah, his mother Frances, and his brother Robert, and posibly others, to the Kanawha Valley of what was then VA and now is WV. This journey took place sometime between William's marriage in 1848 and the birth of his first child, Samual W. Woodall in Kanawha, in 1850. Better known as "Reverend" William A. Woodall, he was an educated man and most respected. He served on the local school board and made sure that all of his children were educated. Several of Reverend Woodall's children became school teachers and store owners. One of Reverend Woodall's sons became a Judge taking over for Judge Laidely in Charleston, and another became a Physician in Charleston 1 Samuel Woodall Abt. 1801 - Abt. 1836 . +Frances M.
