We "think" that the newspaper excerpt stating Mrs. Logan Salyers is visiting her son J.R. WOODALL is incorrect. Have found nothing to support a Mrs. FNU Woodall as Anderson Logan Salyers/Salzers 2nd wife. In fact, we NOW "think" that Angie Hiatt/Hyatt (born Rockcastle Co. KY) is the second Mrs. Logan Salyers. Although, we have not found any marriages for Logan Salyers anywhere in KY. We also think that Angie Hiatt (Mrs. Logan) Salyers/Salzers married a William Kelley/Kelly sometime after 1909. William Kelley also employed by the L&N Railroad; they lived in Corbin KY. Have found no children for Angie and William Kelley/Kelly. William Kelley was married twice before he married Angie Salyers. Have not found anything on Angie Hiatt Salyers/Salzers/Kelley/Kelly or William Kelley. Thanks for posting your reply and good luck in your Woodall searching! Charlotte

He can trace his Woodalls to the 1770's and there does not seem to be a paper match. I know my great-grandfather was named Joseph N Woodall and was born in 1864 in England. Not sure where, but the UK census from 1871 and 1881 have a promising family with a Joseph who was born in 1864 residing in Dudley. The fathers name is William, and my branch of the family tree has had Williams in every generation since Joe came to the US in 1887 or 1889. Are there any Dudley Woodall's here who can help?

    3. Hi Folks, I've just got my results back from a DNA test connected with the WOODALL DNA programme. This has thrown up a surprising result as it is showing an exact match from my London WOODALL line are linked to a Dudley, Worcs based WOODALL line. We've yet to establish the point at which our two lines cross, but we are now looking for any rellies of the Dudley based family to join the quest. The Dudley family we are looking at is as follows: William Woodall born ca. 1811 Dudley Worcs, a limestone miner. Wife: Sophia b. ca 1821, Dudley, Worcs. Children: William b. ca 1840, Daniel b. ca 1844, Emma b. ca 1860 and Joseph b. ca 1864. They were living in Bunn Street in Dudley in the 1871 census and Birmingham Street in the 1881 census. Does any of the above look familiar to you? Best regards, Nige.

    3. I believe you may be looking for Stephen Monroe Woodall born December 24, 1859 and died January 11, 1923. He married Rozellia Crowe who was born July 5, 1857 in Habersham C. GA and died October 30, 1944. Both Stephen Monroe and Rozellia Crowe Woodall are buried in Camp Creek Cemetery near Cornelia, Georgia. I have her father listed as William Crowe and her Mother's maiden name was Elliott. Stephen Monroe and Rozellia had four children: Mary Magnolia (called Maggie) was born Feb 22, 1884 in Cherokee County, GA and died August 5, 1973. She married Matthew Dockins on November 23, 1904. Louisa Woodall was born December 12, 1886 and died young. James Henry (Jim) Woodall was born December 7, 1888 and died February 15, 1978. He was married to Pearl Watts. Samuel Edgar Woodall was born April 30, 1895 and died November 10, 1968. He was married to Fannie Smith on May 3, 1914. This is all the information I can furnish at this time as I am helping my daughter pack to move and will be having eye surgery on Monday. I hope these are the people you are looking for. By the way, I knew Edgar Woodall personally and he could really play a banjo!! He and my late husband who played the guitar made beautiful music together.
