Scott ...to JACOB WOLF, 81 ac. on the north side of the Middle Fork of Holston River." JACOB WOLF appears on the Logan Co. KY Federal Census 1800, and on July 22, 1801, Deed Book,Logan Co. "heirs of Rollin McReynolds, JACOB WOLF and wife Nelly". This area later became Allen Co., KY. Showing up in the same area 1806, JOHN and DAVID WOLF. JOHN WOLF md. Fannie Russell(d/o James Russel), 1810. DAVID WOLF md. Margaret Russel(d/o James Russel) in 1812. PHILIP WOLF and CALEB WOLF 1820 Census Allen Co.KY. The above mentioned JOHN WOLF was vet. War 1812 and was born prior to 1784, according to Census records. Can anyone help me unscramble these people. Is JOHN WOLF, s/o JACOB WOLF??? JACOB WOLF was living in Allen Co. in 1850 Census., Age 97; bn. PA, and occupation "stonemason". This area of Kentucky is full of these WOLF(e)'S, but I know of no one who has ever attempted to decipher who they are. Allen Co.' records were destroyed by fire many years ago.
