Spangler, 92, of Sunnyview Nursing Home in Zanesville, formerly of Roseville and Crooksville, died at 7:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at the nursing home after an extended illness. Born Oct. 7, 1912, in Crooksville, she was a former employee of the Crooksville China Co. and retired from Allied Tile in South Zanesville. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville and Carnation Chapter 167 OES. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Williams of Crooksville and Sandra (Larry) Frash of Roseville; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Red" Spangler, who died May 22, 1980; her parents, William and Jennie Tatman Wolfe; a great-grandson, Brian Williams; sisters, Margaret Talbot, Naomi Williams, Leona Gibbs, Ocie Printz, Hazel Barnett, Lorena Wolfe and Jennie Turner; and brothers, Walter, Chester, Albert, George, Harvey and William Wolfe. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 9, at Goebel Funeral Home 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Raypholtz officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church, 114 Sycamore St., Crooksville; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
