Wolfe, 84, of South Zanesville, died at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House. Born May 23, 1920, in Racine [Meigs County, Ohio] he was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Zanesville VFW Post 1058 and was employed as a draftsman at Finlaw Lumber Co. for 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Wolfe of South Zanesville; a son, Dan J. (Joy) Wolfe of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Chuck (Lisa) Kitzmiller of Fort Pierce, Fla.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Todd (Erin) Stoots; and a great-grandson, Carson Wolfe Stoots, all of Germantown, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. David (Mary) Mercer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Robert (Roxie) Roberts of Piqua; and a brother-in-law, Ronald West of Zanesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey A. Wolfe and Lina Powell Wolfe; a brother and sister-in-law, William R. and Irene Wolfe; and a sister, Ruth Ann West. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joy French and the Rev. Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, where Zanesville VFW Post 1058 will conduct military services.
