Dear Samuel, If a time machine could transport me back to 1930, I have some things I would like to discuss with you. We have looked high and low for you in New York City, we can't find the ship you came on and where you were for most the years before you met Anna Fischer in the 1920s(?) and had your son together. Where were you? While cleaning out my mother-in-law's house, we found your butcher knives, did you bring them with you from Germany? Did your father teach you the trade? Did you teach your son the trade, but he chose a different profession, but kept your knives? We found some metal boxes with German writing on them, did you bring them from Germany or did Anna? We have been told you changed your name, so WHAT WAS IT? We were told you were Jewish and from Bavaria, so where were you born???? And who are your parents??? Were you ever married before? Why did you start to collect lead soldiers? Was this something that your father first started to collect? A news article about your son, mentioned he came from a military family, who were they? We do not know. Did you have any brothers or sisters? Did they come to America also? Your grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren would love to know !
