Joseph was in PA in 1831, and in Fayette Co, Illinois by 1839. Daniel was in Ohio until 1852, then briefly in Indiana, then Fayette CO by 1856. Census records of Joseph Cameron consistently state that his parents, John Cameron and wife Sarah, were foreign born, but in one place claim Scotland, another Germany. Without any doubt, John and Sarah Cameron spoke German. The church records from Annville are entirely in German. Still believe there are family ties to the Levis (Lewis) Cameron listed in the 1810 census. From 1790 thru 1810 the only Lewis Cameron is in SC -No Ludwig listed ever Under Louis Cameron there is one 30 yr old Canadian born man living in Albany, NY in 1850, none listed earlier. 1820 Lewis appears in McAllistertown in Greenwood, Mifflin Co.. PA and the one in SC is still alive 1 male to 10, 1 male 45&, 1 female 10-16, 1 female 26 to 45, 1830 the Greenwood, PA Lewis is the only one listed 1 male under 5, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 15-20, 1 male 60 to 70 1 female under 5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 50-60 1840 there are three Lewis Camerons Washington, Wayne Co., IN Lewis is listed as 20-30, wife same age with 2 sons under 10 Independence, Washington Co., OH Lewis is 20-30, wife same age with 2 girls under 5 Alexandria, Huntingdon Co., PA Lewis is 20-30 and his wife is 15-20 no kids 1850 there are no of age Lewis Camerons no L. Camerons, etc. The only 80+ age males: John Cameron is in West, Huntingdon Co., PA age 84, b. PA; Thomas in Wheatfield, Indiana Co., PA age 86, b. PA. half a dozen 80 yr old ladies though. These are the only Lewis' age 28 in Indian Creek, Lawrence Co., IN Married to Martha, with kids Nancy J, Mary E and Edward Age 38 in Brownsville, Union Co., IN Married to Sarah with James 17, Nancy, Maria, Wm, Clayton 3 Age 38 in Independence, Washington Co., OH Married to Susannah with Lydia 10, John, Susannah, Andrew Age 32 in Pittsburg, Allegheny Co. PA Married to Catherine with Rolandus 9, Cunance, Edith, Ida Analysis says that the man in PA didn't have all the children you've listed and that he was born before 1770and died before 1840 or was living in someone elses household. His wife stays consistent [though women are interchangeable] b. abt. 1780ish. He had a son b. bet. 1810-1815, a son b. bet. 1820-1825, a son b. bet 1830-1835 He had a dau b. bet 1804-1810, a dau b. bet. 1820-1825, a dau b. bet. 1830-1835 His last wife born before 1784 in Scotland also does not survive to 1850 the only 60+ yr old Cameron ladies are in NY, NJ, etc. Okay first the man you have listed as Joseph Cameron 1802 or so is listed in the 1850 Greenwood, Juniata Co., PA as John Cameron 50, b. PA Mary 45, b. PA Henry 25, b. PA Mary 14, b. PA Susan 6, b. PA There isn't an 1860 listing matching this John so he has probably died. There is not a Mary to be found either 1840 John Cameron is in Delaware, Juniata Co., PA. Peter Cameron lives next door and Mary Cameron age50-60 with a 15-20 yr old girl is just a few houses away. Allen Cameron is 5 homes away John has the following which don't quite fit his wife is too old but its close as kids marry and leave: 1 male under 5=? 2 males 5-10=? 1 male 10-15= Henry 1 male 30-40=John 1 female 10-15= 1 female 15-20= 1 female 40-50=Mary?
