Alice Bradshaw NEWCOMERSTOWN- Alice C. Bradshaw, 88, a lifelong Newcomerstown resident, passed away Tuesday evening, May 3, 2005. Alice was born Dec. 11, 1916, in Tuscarawas County, a daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Welsch Wolfe. She was employed at Timken Roller Bearing in Canton, during World War II. Later she worked in the meat and produce department in the former Kroger's store in Newcomerstown. Alice belonged to Calvary United Methodist Church. With the church, she belonged to United Methodist Women and assisted with kitchen help during Vacation Bible School. Alice was active with Newcomerstown Senior Citizens and delivered food for Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo, walking, reading, studying the Bible, and bowling. Alice was a member of the Gutter Dusters Thursday morning bowling league at Cy Young Lanes. Alice was preceded in death by husband, Glenn F. Bradshaw of Newcomerstown, who died Aug. 22, 1990, and whom she married Nov. 19, 1949. Also deceased are three sisters and five brothers, Ida Hill and Doris Frame of New Philadelphia, Hazel Gardner of Port Washington, Frank and Chester Wolfe of Uhrichsville, Charles Wolfe of Riverside, Calif., Kenneth Wolfe of Mineral City, and Alfred Wolfe of Canton. Alice is survived by a brother and his wife, Vernon and Millie Wolfe of Port Washington; a sister, Blanche Dolzine of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Betty Wolfe Herron of Dover; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, in the Ourant Funeral Home. The Rev. Chauncey Eggan will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, in the funeral home, and one hour prior the funeral Saturday. Memorials can be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, P. O.
