my oldest known Wolf ancestor is George Washington Wolf b. Mar. 27, 1850 and died Aug 5, 1935. wife was Martha Tillman. I've heard they were from Lauderdale county, MS but I do know they were in Scott county MS by the 1880 census. I'm descended through their son William Gideon "Willie" Wolf (d.1960) and his wife Virginia Leona "Jenny" Lang. Their daughter and my grandmother was Mildred Wolfe that married Mark Simmons Rape. George and Martha Wolf are buried in Pine Ridge cemetery in Newton county (not far from Lake, MS in Scott county); William and Virginia Wolf are buried at Ephesus church cemetery in Scott county near Lake, MS and Mildred (Wolfe) and her husband Mark Rape are buried in Bossier City, LA Rhonda Raye
