Hello List: I have recently published a Wolf Family History and would like to share with you the way to get this book if interested. the book can be purchased in any book store or online book sales outlet like Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, etc. The cheapest way to get it is to log onto www.authorhouse.com and put in my name or the title of the book and order just like Amazon. I has Mr. Wolf of the Wolf Family Association review the book before publication and he was highly complimentary of the work and gave me many good ideas and checks on the data. J. Derald Morgan Wolf Brethren is about the Ancestors and Descendants of Jacob and Hannah Kinsey Wolf. The Wolf family immigrated to America in 1727 on the ship William and Sarah settling with German Palatinates in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A documented story of Jacob Wolf a teamster and his wife Hannah Kinsey whose mother was captured by the Indians and father who was in the Lancaster County Pennsylvania Militia during the American Revolution. This is a story of migration from Lancaster County into Virginia probably along the Wilderness Road and then on to Miami Valley, Ohio likely along the National Road. From Ohio the Wolf family dispersed to Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, North Dakota, Idaho, Washington, California and even to Alberta, Canada. Included in the work are 97,771 text records about 6518 individuals with 1566 surnames and 2191 marriages, spanning 17 generations with an average lifespan of 55 years 2 months. The Wolf and Kinseys were closely allied with the Church of the Brethren. Sons Jeremiah and Jonathan served as deacons. Many of the descendants of Jeremiah are ministers and missionaries. Some became members of the United Brethren Church a German branch of the Wesleyan movement. Hence the title of this work, Wolf Brethren. About the Author Dr. J. Derald Morgan, a Fellow of the IEEE and Academy of Forensic Engineers, is an accomplished author of over 60 publications including an engineering textbook. The author is Vice President of University Advancement, The University of Alabama in Huntsville where he's responsible for University Publications and News, Alumni and Development activities. He has been a Dean, Department Chair and has held the ALCOA and Emerson Electric Professorships in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The author is an accomplished genealogical researcher having devoted nearly 30 years of research in the development of this work. His research has taken him from coast to coast as he attempted to weave together the genealogy of the Wolf family that came to this country in 1727.

He was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Zanesville VFW Post 1058 and was employed as a draftsman at Finlaw Lumber Co. for 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Wolfe of South Zanesville; a son, Dan J. I'm pretty sure he lived in Westmoreland County in the early 1900s, but any of those surrounding counties might be where he was actually from. A while back, I found him and his family in the 1910 census that his wife's name was Anna, but my sources tell me her name was Cordelia. He had children named George, Roy, Ida, and Ruth (my g-grandmother). I'm interested in finding out more about his parents and also any information on his wife and her family.
