I am searching for information on my Wolf/Wolfe Family line - they were from Bethel/Fredericksburg Lebanon County, PA. My GGG Grandmother was Carolina Wolfe (b. 4/22/1849) who married Levi Gettle who died in 1883. She then married William Gehret. Also mixed in with my Witherow line from Lebanon is a partnership in a Coal Washery "Wolf/Witherow Coal Washery" does this sound familiar to anyone? I recently came across photos of the washery in my grandmother's photographs. Thank you!

There are 3 children in question and no marriage but family folklore has a clue that this was the man who possibly was the father of at least one of these 3 children. It was told to me that he wanted to marry my gg grandmother but her parents would not allow it. She lived in Hawkins Co or possibly Greene County Tennesse and her surname was Gardner. Any clues would be appreciated. She was born in 1889 @ Hawkins co Tennesse. The first child was born 21 April 1905 @ Hawkins Co. TN. FRESNO [Coshocton, OH] -- Rudolph "Rudy" Paul Wolf, 91, of Fresno, died at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wolf was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of the late Rudolph and Barbara (Deeg) Wolf. In Rudolph's earlier years, he was involved in Boy Scouts. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For 16 years he was a receiving clerk in the food department of Girard College in Philadelphia, Pa. He retired from Montgomery Ward Co. in Coshocton in 1977. He married Alma Edith Arney on Dec. 28, 1968. He was very active in the Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 35 years; a sister-in-law, Shirley Arney; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, two sisters, Marie Wolf Boileau and Helen Wolf Quinn; and three brothers, Frank, Philip and Adolph Wolf, preceded him in death. Services will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Given-Dawson Funeral Home in West Lafayette, with Pastor David Krankovich officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fresno. Hi all you Wolf folks, I to have a grandfather named Charles (but with Wesley as a middle name and the 10th of ten children) and his son, my father, was named Herbert. Never knew where it came from. Charles father was Iraneous and his father was was John. John was married in Greene Co. ,TN in 1823- but have not been able to go beyond him. We think John had a brother named Henry. He had a daughter Catherine Wolfe born 1831 who married Georg Engart 1866 in Evangelisch, Bischofsheim, Starkenburg, Hessen. Catharine Engart, daughter of George and Catharine (Wolfe) Engart, married Jacob Fisher. Jacob and Catharine (Engart) Fisher raised Edwin and Louisa Fisher with all being recorded in Adrian, Lenawee County, MI for the 1880 federal census. This seems goofy. Some of the dates and events are reported as happening on both sides of the ocean. I'm not sure about Mrs. Catharine Fisher. The federal census in Adrian said she was born in Michigan, Her father was born in Hessen and mother was born in Baden. Do these families connect?
