    1. gmother-Rosa Wolf
    2. My gmother is Rosa Wolf-Weintraub-wife of Max Weintraub.A question I have is causing a brick wall and I would like to have someone help me for this has been going on for eight years almost every day. According to the Illinois,Cook County,Lemont census of 1900 my gparents were married for ten years. According to the manifests(if they are for the right people) state that they were single which means that they had to get married in NYC or Michigan. After hiring professionals that could not find anything on this- went through all of my sourdhes and found nothing when I send letters. I was looking up trying to find another marriage in the groom list, I found one Max Weintraub who married Rosa Woltzik in 1892.I sent away for that information and when I received it, all of the information was foiegn to me. What a let down! Could it be that Wolf-Weintraub were spelled differemt or could it be that the first names were spelled different? Could it be that the years of arrival were different? I am puzzled as to where to go next!Could someone look information up for me.something is wrong.

    2. John (Jack) Wolf
    3. Johann Jacob Wolff (1736-1811) earlist grandfather known to my family Anna Margaret Schnug(1732-1804) wife John (Johannes) Wolf(1770-1824) son Elizabeth (1771-1856) wife David Wolf (1810-1879) son Anna Cornman(1811-1873) wife William Cornman Wolf (1839-1921) son Barbara Anna Miller (1842-1912) wife William Howard Wolf Sr. (1870-1947) son Sue Elva McWilliams (1871-1963) wife William Howard Wolf Jr. (1911-2003) son Ada Francis (1910-1995) wife My quest is to know from where in Germany Johann Jacob came from, and what his father's name was. I have one lead, but no confirming documentation, that one Andreas Wolff Sr. (1707-1781) from Intingen, Germany could be the grandfather I seek. His wife's name was Dorothea. This whole family was Pennsylvania Deutsch and lived just south of Carlisle before the road reaches the Conodoquinet Creek. There were three farms along this road. William Cornman's was on the creek where he gathered and cleaned sand from the creek to sell. He also distilled whiskey, and was a sergeant in the Civil War. The family moved to Missouri in 1873 and settled near Plattsburg. Two generations later the family is in New Mexico, where I come from. If anyone has a clue to where I could find information on the earlier family of Johann Jacob, I would surely appreciate it. Vielen Dank, John Wolf
