Hello Shirley, Rutland Street no longer exists.The Roman Catholic Church could be St.David's, which is in that vicinity & still open. I think the Mountain Dew in Mount Pleasant is still there. Not sure if the Mile End is still open, as a few have closed in last couple of years. Try www.royalmail.com or www.ukvillages.co.uk I don't have 1881 Census, which is indexed. The 1891 is being indexed at the moment. Try the Glamorgan lookup exchange on http://home.clara.net/tirbach/lookup.html as they're a very helpful bunch of people.
