Are there any clock experts out there. We have a late 18th century Welsh longcase clock in the family, sadly following my father's death early this year we are now parting company with the clock. But before we do we have one query, on the clock's dial is written THOMAS DAVIES and then underneath CARMARTHEN. Is this the name of the clockmaker or, if the clock was given as say a wedding gift, the name of the bride and groom? We have Davies in our family tree but not as far as we can tell Thomas. If it is the clockmaker is there any recorded information about them.
