Hi, folks, My name is Ron Hamilton and I have a relative who died in Swansea in 1866. ROGER LEEMING, died at the age of 33 years. He was drowned in an incident in LANGLAND BAY, SWANSEA. He died on Friday 24th August, 1866 at about 11.30am. He was buried on the following Monday. I presume, somewhere in Swansea. I am looking to try and trace any form of newspaper report that might have covered this drowning. Roger was a Yorkshire man and employed as a groom. He was working for a man called COFFIN who resided in Swansea. Roger and his family were living at NEWTON the MUMBLES at this time. Hopefully, if such a report exists it might give where he was buried. Would anyone have any idea where I might enquire about the records for the inquest that I presume would have been carried out being the death was sudden. TIA. Ron.
