No virus message this time! I have seen on many of my lists, message posted to the list where the poster is having a problem with their subscription to the list. Either they want to change to digest, or want to unsub. They send a message to the list saying nothing else other than "unsubscribe". Well that won't get them unsubbed because the computer will only unsub those who include "request" in their address. This will work for only list you are on. If you are on the NY-Irish L list, for instance, just send your email to: NY-Irish-L-Request@ rootsweb.com Put "unsubscribe" in your subject and body. Of course, if you get digest form, substitute the L with a D. Did you know that Rootsweb has a website for every list where you can sub, unsub, write the listowner and view the archives of the list? Go to: http://lists.rootsweb.com One more thing. If you are experiencing problems with your list, don't write to the list, write to the listowner. If you don't know who the listowner is, just substitute "admin" for the L/D and your email will go directly to the listowner.
