    1. [Swansea] JENKINS
    2. My ggrandparents, Charles Blewitt Jenkins and Frances Philipps Jenkins lived in Sketty and were active in the Sketty Wesleyan Chapel before 1900. Charles was alive there in 1901 and I understand that both of them are buried in the Sketty Cemetery or Sketty Methodist Cemetery (I have been told that the Sketty Wesleyan Chapel did not have a cemetery). I wonder if someone who may be looking for someone else there might see if they can find the markers a send me the dates. I understand the their son, also Charles Blewitt Jenkins, is buried there as well. Thanks. Bonnie Denham Clayton

    2. David Barber
    3. Hi Trying to track down my Great Great great grandfather James Picton Davies. He married Justina Davids in Carmarthen in 1825 but on a baptism certificate for a son in 1864 his abode is listed as "Swansea".No address given. James occupation varies been Legal writer in 1825 and Solicitor in 1871. Is there any way of tracing him through his occupation or is there a Census index for Swansea in 1861? 1. [Swansea] Another warning...
    2. Pat Connors
    3. SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Computer security experts on Monday warned of a new virus that deletes files while masquerading as a program that will allow people to vote on whether the United States should go to war over the Sept. 11 hijacker attacks. The ``Vote Virus'', which so far is not wide spread, circulates via e-mail to users of Microsoft Corp.'s (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) Outlook e-mail program, said Simon Perry, vice president of security solutions at Computer Associates International Inc. (NYSE:CA - news) The virus, punctuated by strange grammar and a mix of lower- and upper-case letters, appears with the subject line: ''Peace between America and Islam!'' and the body of the e-mail reads: ``Hi. Is it a war against America or Islam!? Let's vote to live in peace!'' Perry and other experts said. When the attachment entitled ``WTC.exe'' is opened, the virus tries to delete all the files on the computer's hard drive and sends copies of the e-mail to every address listed in the computer's address book, he said. The virus also defaces any Web pages that are hosted by an infected computer to read: ``America ... few days will show you what we can do!!! It's our turn ))) ZaCker is so sorry for you,'' according to Perry. For more go here: http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20010924/wr/tech_votevirus_dc_2.html Thank you Nancie Dobyns for the warning. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA, listowner http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

    1. [Swansea] New virus warning
    2. Pat Connors
    3. I found this on another list: Just an alert of a new virus that's circulating around that has as a subject: ``Peace between America and Islam.'' It, naturally, has an attachments: WTC.exe DO NOT open the attachment!! DELETE the message if received! Never open attachments unless the sender already tells you what is in them. If some gets infected on the list, I will unsub them until they clean their computer so as not to spread the virus to other listers. But, again, it can ONLY spread when you open the attachment. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA, listowner http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

    2. Pat Connors
    3. Here is a copy of an email sent to listowners and board managers: Late yesterday we began receiving reports that people could not access ancestry.com or more importantly boards.ancestry.com (they were receiving "host unknown" errors and traceroutes were impossible to do as well). Today, we've received word that, as time goes by, more people are unable to connect. The people who were having problems yesterday are still having problems today. This message is to let you know that the problem has been escalated internally at Provo. No ETA on a fix/resolution. We have escalated the problem. 1. [Swansea] Interesting Rootsweb Mailing list info
    2. Pat Connors
    3. Here are some urls that might help, if you are subbed to more than one mailing list. RootsWeb users can obtain forgotten passwords, user IDs, and information about subscribed mailing lists and GenConnect board posts here. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ The above site if very helpful. I have it sent to me so I can keep track which lists I am subbed to and which ones I am listowner of. When I went to Ireland in May, I switched servers so had to unsub and resub to all the lists. I took this list with me to Ireland to help me. Here is the site where you can unsub, sub and contact the listowner of all the genealogy lists of Rootsweb. Remember if you switch servers, you will need to resub with your new email address. Rootsweb will automatically drop your old address when the email sent to the old address bounces three times. http://lists.rootsweb.com/ Please feel free to email me anytime you have a problem with the list. I prefer you do that off the mailing list, to me privately. Thanks for your continuing cooperation. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA, listowner http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
