    3. Hello Yvonne, I don't know where you could buy the book, but I have just glanced through the book and found two entries for a William Evans. The second one might be your connection: 'William Evans (1749 - 1818) lived for a time at Ietwen and was apprenticed as a weaver at Glandwr. In religious belief, a high Calvinist, he left Glandwr Church and with others of similar beliefs started the Congregational cause at Hebron where he remained as a minister though he did not abandon his craft as a weaver.' 'William Evans, born at Stambar, entered the teaching profession, becoming head-teacher of Treharris school. He had wide musical interests and ably served the Congregational church there. His brother John Evans ( - 1934) also entered the teaching profession, his sphere of labour being Cilfynydd, Glam. A poet, particularly fond of the sonnet form, he contributed articles in bilingual studies to the magazine, "Yr Athro." ' There are a couple more minor references.
