Hello again Joy. Thanks for that. We have now booked what sounds like a very pleasant cottage in Castelmorris. The contact number was passed on-list by Myra, so don't know if they deal through any of those glossy agencies or take direct bookings only, but the brochure looks fine and the price is competitive. Today, in fact, we received acknowledgement for our deposit payment, posted Sunday (no collection 'til Monday here in darkest Devon), so we're entirely impressed with the service so far. When we return - and if I remember - I'll post comments on-list, in case others may be covering the same ground.
