Dear Vaughan, John Aveston married Margaret Hart 1811 and George Aveston married Sarah Rees 1800...both at Dale....take your pick! (Joking) I don't have baptismal records, but using this marriage information, Haverfordwest Records Office could possibly tell you if John born around 1811 (with a year or two leeway either side) was baptised ....and to which father. Haverfordwest could supply you with copies of the actual parish register marriage entries, if you wish to find out witness names. If you find that your connection is with George Aveston who married Sarah Rees of Dale perhaps we could talk further. By the 1820's/1830's there are two Rees families in Dale, both of whom are my direct ancestors(my paternal grandfather Edward Rees was born in Dale in 1892). I have not researched either of those families back any further yet but believe that in such a small place there must be a connection somewhere. In the wonderful genuki page on lighthouse keepers there is a William Rees of Dale born 1820 who fits date wise with one of my lot. Many of them were connected someway with Trinity House.
