In 1881 census return, he is shown as 39 years of age, (living with parents John aged 72 and Lettice, 73) and his place of birth is St Issells The address in 1881 is Levrux (?), St Issells. Jon

Hello Jon Thanks very much for the extra info. Presumably the transcriber of the 1881 decided to leave it out. I suppose the parents are John Edwards who married Lettice Gunter in St Issells on 30 April 1836. I have them in St Issells in the 1841 census - but I think you said you already had that didn't you? Let me know if I can look up anything for you.
