    1. [WLS-PEM] JENKINS of CWMWYNTILL and NEWTON EAST
    2. JANETANN DAVIES
    3. My second letter requesting help in one evening! My problem here is that this branch of my ancestors were Baptists--so no christenings!!.I have records which place "my" Peter Jenkins in Cwmwyntill/Cwmwntell nr Letterstone 1791 and the birth of Thomas Jenkins there according to 1861 census in about 1791.Thomas subsequently became tenant farmer of Newton East nr Hayscastle where Peter Jenkins died in 1843. Apart from a fingers crossed hope that there may be someone who can help with these I am very interested in what appears to be a very strong Welsh Baptist element in and around Llanfair nant y gof and Letterstone at this time---the amazing extract from Llanfair nant y gof PRs 1824 that I posted some time ago about a group of Baptists from Cwmwytill burying family members before the arrival of William Edwards Rector of Letterstone and his very sharp comments on the event has really made me want to know more. I have tentative links between my Jenkinses and the Francis family involved in this incident. ! Does anyone know please of a History of Letterstone or Llanfair nant y gof or of Saron Baptist Chapel Letterstone where all Thomas Jenkins daughters were married.Have read Hanes y Bedyddwyr yn Neuhbarth Cymru David Jones 1839 but nothing really relevant there and also the LLangloffan/ Rhydwilym records.Any new suggestions would be very welcome. Llythr hir mae'n ddrwg geni -- a long letter--sorry Ann D in Aber
