<Also I would like to find out more about the church they were married in which was the Gilead Chapel, Maiden Wells. According to the Genuki Wales page this is a non-conformist Chapel of the Calvinistic Methodists (1846). Would that be the year it was built? Where would I find their records? Does it still exist today? Hi Libby The chapel data on the Monkton parish Genuki page comes from the Rawlins book, 'Parish Churches and Nonconformist Chapels of Wales'. Some more from the same source; 1846 was the original building date, also shows 1876. Preaching occurred in homes before that. It was a branch of Gershom, Pembroke Dock at first, later added to pastorate of Wallaston, Pwllcrochan and Bethel, St Twinnels. No known extant records. I hope someone else can tell you whether it still exists - and about the specific area Gareth List administrator for DYFED, CGN & PEM Genuki Wales http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/ Lookup Exchange http://home.clara.net/tirbach/lookup.html Help Page http://home.clara.net/tirbach/hicks.html . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Libby" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, March 01, 2004 7:55 PM Subject: [WLS-PEM] RE: Marriage of DAVIES,William Henry and CRAY, Elizabeth Ann > Hello everyone, > I recently received a marriage certificate for the above 2 parties.
