James MOOR of Trevethen, Co. Monmouth; a Gardener, & Jane JOHN marr 22 Sept. 1836, in the Parish of St Mary , Tenby, Co. Pembroke. James signed his name, Jane with a cross. Witnesses, John Thomas, & Thomas Thomas. The 1851 census Parish of Haverfordwest, shows Jane age 40 yrs, a gardeners wife. However, no sign of James. He did not die until 1891, so he must have been head down weeding, when the census man called. I would like to know who were their parents. Given the patrynomic naming, was the John or Thomas THOMAS, the father, of Jane ? The name by 1881, was spelt MOORE. Mary legarthm@levin.pl.net
